    Are the remains of malachite (whatever is turned of the blank) good for anything (inlay and stuff)?

    Since the Malachite …
    Since the Malachite is so soft, it is stablized before I turn it. So the remains are like plastic threads, not good for anything. By the way, the woodturners catalog, http://www.woodturnerscatalog.com, has malachite chips for inlay. They are also selling my book, Marketing Your Woodcraft, on page 87 of their new catalog.
