Crochet-How to Crochet a Circle
Posted By admin in Knitting and Crocheting
How to crochet a circle. With a little practice and adjusting, you can keep adding stitches and make a hat.
At timecode 2:41 there is an error. There should only be 18 DC, not 21.
1. Ch 6
2. CH 3, 11 DC in circle - 12 DC total including beginning CH 3.
3. CH 3, 2 DC in next DC, 1 DC in next DC, continue around. SL ST in BEG CH. 18 DC

That would be how …
That would be how you could make a skirt for a doll. Make it larger and full, then add a bow tie to pull it tight.

Did you see the …
Did you see the slow motion of this video? I am in the process of editing another video of a circle(22-DEC-07) with 14 DC to start and three rows. I am contemplating doing a hat but I only have 10 minutes to do it. I may do another 2 parter.

Ya it helped me fix …
Ya it helped me fix the circle.
You could give the basic directions to make the hat first. Then, after you stopped talking on the video, you could speed up the footage of your hands making the hat so that you could crunch it down. Just every time you talked and started a pattern you could go normal speed and then when you repeat things you could speed. Just an idea.

I have thought of …
I have thought of doing it that way. On the other side of that thought, I have lots of people tell me that I go way to fast. That is why I have worked on redoing this circle. I am trying to come to a happy medium. I don’t want anyone to be frustrated.

Honestly they …
Honestly they should quit being lazy and look through the rest of your videos and actually SEE that you have other tutorials. With those other tutorials all they would have to do is learn basic stitches and do whatever you tell to.

I only have ten minutes per video. I would need about 2-1/2 hours for slippers. That is why I do smaller projects.

12 double crochets including the chain?
December 26th, 2007 at 10:26 am
Yes, 12 DC, …
Yes, 12 DC, including the chain. Or it can be 11 DC with the CH 3 at the beginning. I have seen patterns describing the beginning stitches done in both ways. Once you learn the basics and practice, practice, practice, the little technicalities become second nature.

Just wanted to thank you for this video, i have been trying to learn crochet for a long time without much success. I am an avid knitter but for some reason, I was finding it impossible to learn to crochet and your videos have helped me, so much so, that I have just finished the beanie hat from your videos! Thank you very much
