The school campus is like a beautifully green ecological botanical garden, full of tropical fruit trees such as mangos, breadfruit, and tamarind, as well as well as all kinds of flowers - like birds of paradise!
Besides the regular academic courses, the students here have a choice of learning arts and crafts such as theater, synchronized swimming (there is a new Olympic-size pool), ceramics and pottery, martial arts (capoeira, jiu-jitsu and krav-maga) and music.
Time is alloted daily for the practice of Transcendental Meditation, which the students may also choose to learn. Most of the professors are meditators themselves and have received formal training in how to supervise and conduct the TM sessions with the students.
The campus houses administration offices, classrooms, a multi-media auditorium, an indoor multi-sport gymnasium, an outdoor Olympic-size pool, two cafeterias (one standard…the other organic vegetarian), three computer labs, a xerox copy center, and a modern multi-media library.
This educational complex is also the home of the Faculdades Integradas de Jacarepaguá, a boutique university, where students can earn a degree in business administration, accounting, computer sciences, tourism, systems analysis, and other study disciplines.
