i’ve made a …
i’ve made a parabolic pattern out of plaster and coated it with varnish, for protection. i just took 3 pics of it, i posted the URLs for the images in my profile’s description (since URLs are not allowed in comments).

i haven’t had enough time lately to work on that, but next i’ll make a housing for an accurately placed vertical axis, which will be
used to turn the pattern and shape a parabolic plaster mold.

your videos will be very useful for me to proceed! thanks a lot, man!

YES to reuse the …
YES to reuse the glass. It does not get stuck. Now that you mention it, I should have shown the removal process. Once it cools, it falls out. Yard sales are great. Also old water tanks have paraboloids on the bottom. Also you can copy any paraboloid with cement, I will have a video soon of that.

i got a question: can you use the same glass lid to shape another mirror? i mean does the plastic mirror get stuck to the glass?
